Double phase steel, also known as compound phase steel. Steel composed of two-phase structure of martensite, austenite or bainite and ferritic matrix. Generally, the steel composed of ferrite and austenitic phase structure is called duplex stainless steel, and the steel composed of ferrite and martensitic phase structure is called duplex steel. Duplex steel is low carbon steel or low alloy high strength steel obtained after critical zone heat treatment or controlled rolling. A typical duplex steel has a yield strength σs of 310MPa and a tensile strength σb of 655MPa. Duplex steel is used to manufacture complex components of cold punching and deep drawing, and can also be used as pipeline steel, chains, cold drawn steel wires, prestressed steel bars, etc.

(2) Molybdenum containing duplex stainless steel has good pitting resistance.

(4) Good comprehensive mechanical properties. It has high strength and fatigue strength, and the yield strength is twice that of 18-8 type austenitic stainless steel.

(5) Cold processing than 18-8 type austenitic stainless steel work hardening effect is large, in the initial deformation of the tube and plate, need to apply greater stress to deformation.
